Noelle - A Christmas Miracle
Noelle is a seven week old puppy found abandoned on the side of the road in Merced about a week before Christmas. When shelter staff picked her up, it appeared like she had been hit by a car. Her tiny back leg was broken in two places. Her eyes were crusted shut. She was not moving and stiff with cold.
But thanks to the loving care of the Merced shelter and volunteers at Copper's Dream Rescue, Noelle's bones were rejoined using pins and wire and her leg was placed in a splint. Noelle arrived at the home of her loving foster family on Christmas Eve, and she was promptly christened "Noelle," because the fact she was still alive seemed like a Christmas miracle. The good news is that vets predict Noelle will make a full recovery and eventually run free like any other dog would. Also, within a week after her arrival in the Bay Area, Noelle, true to her lucky Fate, was adopted by a loving family in Walnut Creek where she is now showered with love.
