Camille is a 2 year old female Beagle-Terrier mix we rescued with a litter of pups when found out in a field. It quickly became clear that she was very sensitive to human touch. Since her arrival several months ago she has come a very long way. She even recently completely three weeks of board and train at Shamrock Ranch and is ready for her new patient and loving home. She weighs about 20 lbs. Takes time to warm up to people but once she does she is a total sweetheart Loves to give kisses Very gentle Loves being petted when seeking affection Seems to be low key and loves hanging with her people

Yetti is a 6 month old female German Shepherd Dog we rescued from Madera along with her sister Mia. Unfortunately, they were surrendered because their owner was concerned for their safety as an unknown person poisoned them. Our rescue partner in Madera paid for their vet treatment and both pups are doing fine now. They are sweet and friendly pups.

Hope and Charity are 8-10 week old female terrier mix pups we rescued from Fresno. Happy and playful Tiny pup, was likely the runt of the litter. Loves to snuggle Quiet in her crate Working on house training Loves other dogs Wants to play with cats so could live with a dog savvy cat.

Tasha is a 4 year old female Doberman Pinscher who was surrendered when her family had to move. We would like to rescue her but need a committed foster first. She was surrendered along with her pals Bell, Noel, Merry and Claus when her teenage owner's parents told her to get rid of all her animals. The dogs were originally fostered in the central valley and are a little timid until they get to know you. All seem house trained. Tall and lanky girl who prances around Can balance and walk on hind legs Shy initially, she will bark at new people, but friendly and loving once she feels comfortable Friendly, playful and loves to cuddle Like to play with toys and fetch

Toby is a sweet 3-4 month old puppy doxie mix from Tehama County. Curious and playful. weighs about 10-15 lbs. may be a medium sized dog as he has big paws and is a good size pup. May be mixed with some Basenji Has one brown and one blue eye. typical puppy. Gets excited sometimes but knows how to be calm and sweet! Is a good eater, not picky. Was a little unsure about the leash at first but now with the aid of a harness walks well. Learning how to go up and down stairs quiet in the crate. He even puts himself in to take a nap.

Typical happy, friendly puppy whose tail wags constantly and likes everyone she meets Loves meeting and playing with other dogs Is submissive with the larger resident dog and loves to wrestle with her friend Maverick Smart girl who is already picking up basic commands Was unreactive seeing cats on a walk so may do well living with cats

Once moved into a foster home through the shelter her personality began to blossom. Doing well with other dogs Would do best in a slower paced home willing to work with her shyness An active home would be ideal for her breed

These pups will not go home with adopters until they are spayed at about 8 weeks old. They are typical puppies who like to play with their toys and have lived with young children.

King is a beautiful lean chocolate lab/pit mix rescued from Oroville. He is estimated to be about 1 year old. He has spent several weeks at the shelter quietly getting overlooked time after time. When our transport partner went to pick up several other dogs for rescue King was sitting depressed in his kennel and couldn't be left behind. He is up north in a temp foster placement awaiting a foster home in the Bay Area. Great with other dogs; been kenneled with several others at this time at the shelter never has issues

Marshmallow is an approximately 2 year old lab mix we rescued from Tulare. She was surrendered with sister S'Mores. Marshmallow is outgoing, playful and loves to play ball. She is great with other dogs.

Russell is a 1 year old male pit/hound mix we rescued from Fresno. He weighs about 52 lbs. Russell was found one night during a storm trying to find shelter under a tree. He jumped right into the finder's car. He is said to be friendly with other dogs and cats/kittens. He knows basic commands and has been left loose in his foster home without getting into any trouble. He seems to be house trained and is very well behaved.

Toffee is a 2 year old female Bassett mix we rescued from Parlier along with her 6 pups (Bordeaux, Twix, Bear Paw, Charlston, Snickers and Reese). She weighs about 30-35 lbs and according to her shelter foster is super sweet and loves to give kisses. She is a great mom to her pups and walks well on leash. He came down with parvo prior to transport and was cared for and treated by one of the shelter volunteers. He is fully recovered and cleared by their vet to come to rescue. He is sweet and cuddly.

Becca, Lily, Amy, Chloe and Jesse (the only boy) , are the Pitch Perfect Litter. They are 8 week old Chi mix puppies. They were born January 22 and will be ready to go home March19. Our adorable country litter has almost all been adopted, only little Johnny is left. About 10 weeks old and full of cuteness. Mom, Reba, appears to be an Australian Shepherd type mix and dad(s) is unknown. Johnny was the mellow one in a group of rowdy sisters. He has a much stockier build so likely will be larger than mom.

Holly is a 2-3 year old Aussie/Lab mix female we rescued from a Delano hoarding case along with her pups Faith and King. Her pups are now old enough to leave their mom and Holly is ready for a home of her own. She can be a bit shy, but warms up. She is OK with other dogs when introduced properly, but prefers dogs who are not "in your face". Holly is cat friendly and has done well with the 3 cats in her temporary foster home.

Sweet pups who wag their tails a lot but still a bit nervous with humans. They are fairly small for border collies, so expect to be a medium size when adult.

Truman is a 6-7 month old male hound mix we rescued from Tehama. He weighs about 35 lbs and is said to be a cute sweet boy who needs a bit of confidence. He does well with other dogs and can be a happy and friendly pup. He cna be a bit hesitant at first but enjoys attention and being petted. Once out of the shelter his true shining personality will come through. He wags his tail when in happy wag mode and is playful, learning about toys and loves treats.

Trinity is an 8-10 month old female shepherd mix we rescued from Kerman along with her pal Neo. She weighs about 40 lbs and is said to be very sweet and friendly, but does not understand the leash.

Clark is a 9-month old, 35 pound, male German Shepherd we rescued from Lake County. He can be a little shy when he first comes out of his kennel, but warms up quickly and is sweet and affectionate. Clark is playful and appropriate with other dogs, and was very calm in the cat room with a low wagging tail, so he may do well living with cats. The shelter thinks he will make an outstanding companion with basic training.

Constantly checks on you and runs to you. Has become trusting of and freely gives affection to the men in his foster family (was initially shy) Does not chew but likes to carry items to a specific spot. She can be a bit nervous when being picked up, so a patient foster/home who will help her become more comfortable would be a plus. Very sweet,. A little nervous when the dogs crowd her, but she is also quite playful and happy. Loves to be cuddled, really cute, quiet lapdog type. Doesn't mind the kids, she will sit with anyone and just loves the attention. She appears to be housetrained, no accidents yet.

Very timid around fast-moving children - would like to herd him instead. Would do best in a no-kid home or older children. Very observant and unfamiliar environments and people can make her uneasy. Unsure of new poeple (but loves you once she knows you!). Will bark to announce when new people visit, and will go find an out-of-the-way spot. Very shy around strangers but a lively wiggle-butt to her bonded people. Does well on daily walks, walking progressively longer daily. Likes to cuddle in bed and sleeps through the night. Ali is a 5-6 month old male Lab mix puppy who weighs 12 lbs. He was born by the river that passes through Cayo in Belize. A poor man living out of a shack was caring for him, but often did not have enough food for Ali. Ali began roaming farther and farther for food and water until he was noticed by a volunteer while he was darting between cars in heavy traffic.

Candi is a young adult mixed breed female we rescued from Belize. Despite being dumped as a stray with her puppies, she is a loyal, friendly girl who has a great demeanor. She is slightly shy around men but does not have any aggression. She is a home body and has a low energy level. Candi weighs 59 lbs.

Harley is a 6-month old male, 25 pound Lab mix we rescued from Belize. He was first seen in a vacant lot in his foster’s neighborhood with an adult female dog, maybe his mother. A few weeks later, his foster witnessed him being chased by adult males, and he escaped by running into a drain pipe. When she next saw him, a month later, he was alone, emaciated, and had multiple wounds. She took him home and nursed him back to health.

Juniper is a one year old female Lhasa Apso/Poodle mix we rescued from Santa Clara. She arrived at the shelter in a neglected state with mats and debris in her coat, so she needed to be shaved down. She is bit shy and will need a patient foster in a quiet household, and she can be nervous around men. Once she decides you are okay, she is a playful dog. She does well with other small dogs, so a home with another confident small dog would be good. Juniper would prefer a home where she has free access to a yard.

Archie is a 2-3 year old male, 40 pound Lab-Hound mix we rescued from Belize. He was living on the streets when his current Belize foster noticed him. He was taken to the vet, and luckily there was no serious damage and he's completely healed.

He was poisoned prior to coming to the shelter and thankfully they were able to save him. He needs to be on Vitamin K for a few weeks to continue on his path to wellness, but then he should otherwise be fine. The shelter says that he is a super sweet and friendly boy that plays beautifully with other dogs.

They were initially scheduled to come to rescue in the beginning of January, but came down with Distemper at that time. They have been cared for by one of the shelter volunteers and have fully recovered, and received a clean bill of health. They are now ready to find their forever homes! Cyrus is eager to please and adorable according to the shelter volunteer. He weighs 25-30 lbs.

Scout was also well behaved in the cat room at the shelter, so he may be ok with cats. The shelter thinks that he will make a wonderful family dog. He weighs 53lbs.

Rex is a 7-month old male mix (dad is Terrier-Beagle mom is Shih Tzu-Poodle) that we rescued from a family that had too many dogs and mostly kept him in his crate, so he is learning to feel more comfortable around people and other dogs. He weighs 7 lbs.

Zuni is a 1-year old female Great Pyrenees that we rescued. She currently weighs 91 lbs and is likely to weigh over 100 lbs when full grown.

Lizzie is a 1.5-year old female Terrier mix we rescued from Fresno along with her friend Chili.

Morgan is a 2-year old, 9 pound female mix we rescued from Solano. She was labeled as a Lhasa Apso by the shelter, but we think she looks to be more Shih Tzu.

Olive is a 2-year old female Lab mix that was adopted from Copper's Dream as a puppy. Due to her family's current living circumstances, she would benefit from a home better suited to her needs.

Copper (formerly Juliette) is a 1-year old, 25 pound female Terrier mix we rescued with her siblings after they were abandoned in a field. She was adopted out as a puppy, but is back up for adoption through no fault of her own.

Used to being in public a lot; her former owner took her to the mall and in stores in a stroller

Georgia is a 2-year old female Cattle Dog-Aussie mix we rescued. She came from a hoarding case, so she may never be a typical house pet. Georgia would do best in a home with free access in and out to a secure yard. An ideal owner would be someone looking for a house companion rather than an adventure buddy, as she is still uncomfortable in outside social settings.

Chili is a 1-year old male Corgi mix we rescued from Fresno along with his friend Lizzie.

Buddy is a 3-year old, 70 pound male Hound mix that we rescued from Belize. He survived cruel and tragic abuse by his former family, who beat him, chipped his teeth, and then cut his back open with a machete. When they moved, they left him tied to a tree, suffering, injured, and without food or water. Buddy’s foster family found him, took him in, and nursed him back to health. Shockingly he continues to be very trusting of people, affectionate, and longing for a family that will treat him the way he deserves to be treated. Likely due to injury, he appears to be partially deaf and blind on his left side. Buddy gets along well with other dogs, and is really just a gentle giant hoping for a safe place to spend the rest of his days.

Daphne is a 6-month old female Terrier (maybe Jack Russell Terrier) and possible Dachshund mix we rescued from Fresno with her sister Darby.

Benji is a 1.5 year old mix we rescued form Madera. The shelter called him a Shih Tzu, but at 20 lbs, he's likely some other mix. He is doing great with the kids and dogs in his foster home.
